What are your service times?

BIG Zion AME Zion Church worships weekly  on Sundays at 11:00 a.m. in person and online on our Facebook page.  We welcome worshippers to join us during those times.

 

What is the attire?

Come comfortable and casual. Come expecting the pastor to do the same. If you like to dress up, you can dress up. Big Zion AME Zion Church is about seeking a real relationship with God and with one another. What we wear is secondary.

 

Is BIG Zion a Christian church?

BIG Zion is a Christian church connected with the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church. You may find out more about the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church at www.amez.org. We mix a modern style with some of the traditional practices of the Christian church. We are committed to making disciples.

 

How can I become a member?

One can become a member by:

 

 

• Confession of Faith: This process marks renewing of our confession of faith after a period of inactivity or not being on a church membership role.

• Transfer of Membership: You may be joining from another church of another denomination. We recognize Baptism from all other Christian churches.

 

New members classes are held quarterly.

 

What is the Baptism process?

Through baptism we are joined with the church and with Christians everywhere. Baptism is a symbol of new life and a sign of God's love and forgiveness of our sins. Persons of any age can be baptized. At BIG Zion, we baptize by sprinkling, immersion, or pouring.

We stand on Malachi 3:10, Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this, says the Lord Almighty, and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.

Are we allowed to rent space in the facilities?

BIG Zion AME Zion Church will allow space to be rented for weddings, dinners, retirement celebrations, showers, etc. Questions regarding any other use of the facilities should be directed to the church business office at 251-433-8431. Submit your facility request form online (click here).
